Observing Proper Posture

For those people who do a huge amount of computer work, effective ergonomic practices should be observed to maintain a healthy and pain-free body. Since posture plays a big role in how you feel after long hours in the office, knowing how to sit properly is the key. Keep these efficient and beneficial ways in mind for maximum comfort and stamina when using your computer.

Posture

For a better positioning, adjust your chair to the proper height. Both your feet should be placed flat on the floor, with thighs parallel to the ground. For an optimal head and neck position, tilt the monitor at an approximately 15-degree angle so as not to strain your spine.

Back

If you are suffering from lower back pain, a firm cushion can give you the support that you need. Also try placing a wedge-shaped block or material under your feet to tilt your toes upwards.

Wrists

Instead of using the wrist when utilising the mouse, move from the shoulder. You should also avoid pads that create a bend on your wrists.

All in all, to stretch your limbs and joints, remember to take breaks. Doing this may help you avoid any health problems in the future.
