Pros and Cons of Different Computer Monitors

What is the type of monitor that is most appropriate for your PC unit? Before you start thinking about this though, you first have to consider the amount you are willing to spend. As a rule of thumb, the most recent and advanced screens cost more than the older models. In addition, you have to keep an eye on the size of the computer monitor.

Moving on to the different types, they are as follows: cathode ray tube, LCD monitors, plasma, and touch screen. The first one, cathode ray tube, is the traditional monitor that comes with most PC packages. It is bulky and consumes a lot of space, but it is relatively cheaper compared to the following units. Next in line is the LCD monitor. This visual output device is most necessary when you are presented with space constraint as it is sleek and consumes just a minor amount of room. Then, there are the luxurious models: the plasma and the touch screen. While the former’s resolution is greatly improved than the other choices, the latter allows you to interact with the computer without having to use the mouse or keyboard.
